Canon EOS RP and Nikon 35mm 1.8G DX

Nikon D610 and 105mm 1.4E showing my “new” combo, an EOS RP with the Nikon 35mm 1.8G DX!

Here are the actual images shot with the combo pictured above:

EOS RP with the Nikon 35mm 1.8G DX, this lens becomes manual focus with the adapter, but you can control the aperture via the ring.  This is one of my favorite lenses, as it is sharp, colorful, and has enough glass to cover FF sensors even though it is designed for smaller sensors!  Truly a rare bargain in the world of photography.

EOS RP with the Nikon 35mm 1.8G DX, The RP has some wild auto white balance, but for this shot I did like how it recalled the older 5D series’ WB preferences.  I’ve always liked the cooler more pastel palette for some portraits.

EOS RP with the Nikon 35mm 1.8G DX. To be honest I think this Nikon 1.8 rivals the image quality of the Canon 35mm 1.4L, which is much more expensive and has some image quirks of its own.  At least the one I have.
