Road Atlanta PLM Kickoff | October 10, 2023

The kind folks at Road Atlanta brought race cars to our backyard once again!  Thanks to everyone for the hard work.  Above is a short video I cut.  Since the event was so close I brought lots of different gear to goof off with.

1) My normal #1 fave camera the Nikon Df

2) Quickly becoming a fave the GFX 50+50 combo

3) a combo I haven’t ever tried, a Canon RP with the DX Nikon fisheye.

Why you ask, because the Canon has a crazy crop in 4K video mode and the 10.5mm fisheye when adapted can cover that video mode just fine, and of course 1.6X APS-C crop in photo mode.

So those three and an assortment of other cameras.  As we all know it’s the driver and not the car, but both these things (cars and photography) are definitely technology driven. 

Here are some of my photos (also in the video) from a nice early fall Tuesday.  I really liked the Acura NSX and the BMW M4.  You can tell the images apart with the aspect ratio and auto white balance leanings of each camera manufacturer.
