For every year that I get to attend Dragon Con I usually have as my third option in cameras, something bizarre and unique. (For a few years it was an infrared Sigma Foveon camera) This year I shot some 3D pictures with my (dusty) Loreo 3D Lens in a Cap on the mirrorless Canon EOS RP. If you’re old enough to remember the Viewmasters from back in the day this is basically the same premise (which a type of stereoscopic photography that goes back over a 100 years!). There aren’t too many indoor shots as the “lens” is limited to f/11 or f/16.
To experience the full glorious 3D you need a simple stereoscopic viewer, hold it up like spectacles/glasses and relax your eyes to “see beyond it.” I’ve been using the foldable Pokescope and the results are pretty neat! I even keep random junk shots, as the sense of depth is interesting. My personal favorite is the Mind Flayer picture near the bottom!
