Sabaidee everyone! Here are some of my photos from another huge turnout for Lao New Year up in Murfreesboro, TN. As usual I took several cameras up there, and I’m going to split up my posts. This first set will be from my big lens! Yep, I lugged the Nikon 200mm f2 up to Tennessee just because I wanted to. Normally you see this type of lens on the sidelines with sports photographers, but it’s so great for portraits and event photos as well. The color and clarity really accentuates the sights in our lovely Lao community.

More photos to come! With all the content creators there (basically the entire Lao community!), I’m sure I was in a scene or two with the big ol’ lens. It weighs as much as a heavy watermelon so I don’t know if I could do it again for that amount of time handheld. It definitely had to go back in the bag and into the car after I got tired.

Until I get done sorting/editing my other photos from my Canons, here are some shots from the little digicam. It was great seeing everyone.
