Hello everyone, I finally sat down and fully went through my photos from LNY back in April at Wat Buddha Khanti. You can find my highlight recap here. Thanks to those who enjoyed my photos and shared with image credits. These photos didn’t magically come out of nowhere, much like how cultural events like this take a lot of community effort and time. There are many unsung folks who don’t get credit for helping with organizing, cleaning, parking, cooking, etc. Just doing my part with pretty pictures.

Here are the photos from the thahk baht portion. I’ll be posting in sections! Again, on this day I didn’t shoot my main gear, just a somewhat odd loadout of:

A) GFX and Nikon 35-80mm f/4-5.6 (this lens I got literally 2 days before, and it’s quite sharp at f/11, even manually focused)

B) Nikon D5300 and 18-55mm AF-P

C) Olympus E-M5 and 14-42mm

D) Nikon J1 and 10mm

So basically, no $$ telephotos, only affordable lenses with deep depth of field to show the most detail of the event.

I. GFX and 35-80mm (which is a good tool for more documentary style honest photos. I guess I wanted to include every detail in a photojournalistic way this time)
