I wasn’t planning on doing anything the rest of my Saturday, but ended up hanging out and running into friends (old and new) at the various Asian festivals! Tonight I thought I would unveil my DV camcorder plus iPhone capturing the back LCD screen to record vertical bts shots! (The setup isn’t too complicated I only spent about an hour with the random spare parts I had like brackets and screws and articulating arms to position the phone). Enjoy our adventure around town!
I.
The AINM Festival was still going in Suwanee and it was jam packed. Lots more people than Friday and the parking situation was nuts. For someone who lives here I don’t know why I didn’t consider walking to it earlier! (My Highlight photos are Here, but I haven’t had time to go through them all)
I met this nice vendor (@silknstone.jewelry) on Fri. Her jewelry and clothing is really nice! It’s so exotic and different from what we’re used to. The continent of Asia sure is a big and diverse place. 😉

So we stopped by and had a fun little mini shoot. Thanks for letting these professional models show off the merch!
I did bring along the GFX and a Digicam (Canon A400)!

And look who we ran into! 😉

The Night Market here in Suwanee had a hard stop at 10pm, so I figured I could at least get some test shots with this new junk lens on the GFX.
II.
I was told by a friend that there was a Viet Night Market as well on Pleasant Hill. Onward!
Almost midnight and these folks still out partying! Thanks uncle Joe for the sugar cane drink.
I hadn’t seen some of these folks IRL in a very long time!

Even though the festival still technically had food, I remembered that I should add to the top of my late night adventures…the 24 Hr Taco Place in the new gas station across from Naan and Curry! They fixed up an old bank, turned it into a gas station with an El Way Del Taco place in there. They have an amazing tamarind drink and big pulled pork tacos for about $3.30 each. That’s an amazing combo.
So that’s it for the evening. Last stop was Two Ha’s for a croiffle but it was pretty close to 1am closing time and the kitchen was closed. Big thanks to Rosé, I mean Chanel :), for driving and being the star of the evening.
