Big thanks to Vivian and Sean for coming over to hang out! Showing some of the images we got on the adventure in reverse, because at the end of the day we were blessed with a pretty great sunset at the new Suwanee Park. It took a late evening rain storm, but that’s usually how it works in Georgia in terms of colorful sunsets. We missed the big rainbow, but made it in time for some wild color well into blue hour. Almost all these images shot with the Canon R8 and 24mm 1.4L. I keep on forgetting to shoot with the mechanical shutter to see if the dynamic range really has been improved, but I don’t think it’s anything world changing like a D4/Df/A7 etc.
For this particular sunset one can mess with the White Balance to get you a look that you’d want depending on which way you’re facing. The bridge has warm toned lights so that’s a different color temperature than what will be in the sky. Of course I forgot to bring a flash as it would have made the backlit photos so much better/easier to capture. But hey, this is a pretty cool spot in our backyard and definitely lends itself to modern photos.
