Fujifilm Instax 41 – Sample Photos

Here’s a post about the Fuji Instax Mini 41.  It’s a cool little instant film camera with a nice color scheme and design, much better looking than the bulbous party ones that have been around for ages.  I got the Wide camera way back when, then the Square, and now have the Mini format to complete the trilogy.  It fits into my smaller bags nicely too.  This camera is finnicky about batteries though, it only works with real AA Alkaline throw away batteries.  I’ve tried different rechargeable batteries, from Eneloop Pro/Normal, 1.5V Li-ion AA batteries and it just doesn’t like them, since the flash needs to charge up and fire for every photo.

I personally prefer the larger size of the Wide prints as they do have more visual impact but these smaller mini prints are neat to have on a shoot to give away as fun reminders.  The wide cameras are still very big though and require a separate messenger bag normally.  This little Mini 41 is still a proper real film camera, with its 60mm lens and chemical process.  I’ve looked into the hybrid EVO cameras with their digicam+built in printer design, but the image quality isn’t the same.

It might even be more economical vs 35mm too when you compare the time involved.
