Notes: In drawing class, if the model can’t make it, students are usually given an assignment to just draw each other. Same thing in photography. But that’s not really what our fake modeling is all about. 🙂 I’m grateful to anyone who has ever given me or loaned some camera gear that’s sitting in their closet. To some it’s junk, to us it’s vintage and definitely has a use, more so than just a prop. An old film camera lens once cast away takes on a new life in the digital world. These are shots with some lenses most photographers would not think twice about, a few old Nikkors from the 1980’s. If you couldn’t tell already, I’m a big fan of real lens flares and the old glass definitely have their own signature.
So yes, anyone out there with unused gear just lying around, Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus, etc, send it over to me! I’ll give it a good home! 😀
Flaring signature on the Nikkor 28-85mm Ai-S. This lens also shoots very nice macro videos when mounted on the 5D.
