First Day of Spring – 2022-03-20

Just some fun photos from the first “official” day of Spring down here in Georgia. Thanks to Chalita (@chalitanata) for always coming along for food+fun+thrifting.  I don’t think it can be stressed enough that one can see so many different multicultural communities here in metro Atlanta.  In a half day one can get great Thai […]

Spring Peach Trees

Every year it’s a little different in terms of blooming color here in Georgia.  I remember at the start of the pandemic the colors were really nice and vibrant with a purity in the air.  This year the cold snap kinda ruined some of the blossoms.  Here’s hoping the cold weather will finally be gone […]

Springtime in Atlanta

Big thanks to Jenny and Vivian for coming out for a quick photoshoot on Saturday!  It wasn’t as hot and humid as it was on Thursday and the sunlight was diffused behind a bunch of clouds.  I wanted to use the Lunar New Year lanterns at Atlantic Station before they were taken down at the […]

Spring in Georgia – 2-23-24-2022

Tuesday morning was cold and rainy but that made for some nice photos.  Today though was crazy hot and it seems everything bloomed overnight.  So here’s what I got from my normal drives and walkabouts.  As you can see most of these spots are just simple non fancy places you can get to from the […]

Photo Hangout: Norcross Cherry Trees – 2022-02-21

Thanks to Claudia, Byung, and Jazz for coming out to take pictures with the flowering okame cherry trees in downtown Norcross.  The petals don’t last long so I’m definitely glad when I can get a shoot in during peak colors. Rain was predicted for this day so we only had about a one hour window.  […]

Sunday Funday – 2022-02-20

Sunday started off really cold but I wanted to take advantage of the morning light.  No real plan on this day, just head out of the house with random cameras that I don’t use often, and be a tourist in our own area. I had two frames left on the Fuji Instax wide and at […]

Chin National Day 2022 and Miss CND – Atlanta

74th Chin National Day February 19, 2022 | Gujarati Samaj | Tucker, GA Thanks again for the invite to CND.  I had a great time covering the event.  I feel like my main goal is to always paint the prettiest picture for the various Asian community events here in metro Atlanta.  There’s so much to […]

Spring in Georgia – 2022-02-15

It’s still a bit chilly for me, but the first trees that I normally use for photos bloomed late last week.  While I was out location scouting I remembered this time of year would be good to get product shots of my photo books and products in the natural environment that I shot the original […]

Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 170 Roll 1&2 w/ Fujifilm Superia 400

So here are some photos from two rolls of Fujifilm Superia 400 shot with my Olympus Stylus Zoom.  I got this camera from a friend years ago and it just sat on the shelf.  It’s funny how in the midst of a film shortage in 2022 I thought it would be neat to roll around […]

Photo Outing – 02-06-2022 – Caffeine and Octane and Dragon Dance

Sunday was no real plan, just stop by a few events, drive around and shoot some film. Was late to the monthly Caffeine and Octane car show, but there were a few unique cars left that were worthy of a few frames of precious film.  We also stopped by to see the Lion and Dragon […]

Atlantic Station Lion Dance – 01-27-2022

Went to Atlantic Station last night to see another Lion Dance ushering in the lunar new year. Pretty good turnout for a cold evening. The lanterns looked very nice during blue hour. I rolled with an 85mm 1.2 on the RP and Canon 24mm 1.4 on the Sony. It seems like I’m running into folks […]

Photo Outing – 01-23-2022

Last week was snow here in Georgia, and now this week is the start of the various Lunar New Year celebrations around metro Atlanta.  Hopefully both of those things signal an end to the cold weather.  For Sunday’s outing I thought it would be cool to shoot for fun with some of the older cameras–a […]

Snow in Georgia – 01-16-2022

It snowed here in Georgia, first time in a few years I think. Very nice backdrop for photos, but awful for the folks that lost power and heat. Anyways, here’s what I managed to get with many various cameras!

Anamorphic: Petit Le Mans 2021

Here are my photos from a quick stay at Petit Le Mans this year.  Had the normal gear for regular pictures, but I thought it would be neat to mostly shoot with the anamorphic ISCO taking lens combo.  It definitely has an Xpan type of look.

Georgia vs Alabama SEC Championship – 12-04-21

Here are my photos from the big game.  The final score could have been a lot better, but I had fun.  Learned a long time ago to not put your happiness into things you can’t control–like silly football games.  I only took one camera, the weather was an amazing 71 degrees, there were still signs […]

Petit Le Mans Kickoff: Suwanee, GA – 11-09-2021

Road Atlanta had their Petit Le Mans Kickoff right in our backyard of Suwanee, so I headed there with my random gear.  It was good to try out the possible kit that I’m still deciding on for this weekend’s race.  I shot my normal Nikon 35/105mm combo, but also wanted to try out the Isco […]

Atlanta – Photo Walk – 01-25-2021

It’s been a cold and cloudy winter down here in Georgia, but that’s pretty normal.  With the lack of events happening I figured now would be a good time to get out there and try to capture some different landmarks and views around Atlanta. I’ve always said it’s good to be a tourist in your […]

Sigma SD10 (and SD15) “Review” and Photos (in 2021!)

Hello everyone! Around the holidays I added another tool to the fleet, an ancient Sigma SD10! This camera was announced sometime in 2003, and I lucked out because it came with 3 lenses, a flash, battery grip, and a hard case!  Plus the camera looked like it had barely been used!  So here’s what I’ve […]
