Sacred Heart

Notes: Helped out a friend on a pre wedding test shoot at Sacred Heart Cultural Center in Augusta.  Place was massive and definitely a visual and architectural delight.  In going through images to post, I normally cull the ones that fit the theme that I was trying to go for.  For this one, the natural light shots and physical features of the bride recalled something out of a Vermeer painting.  Of course shot some “normal” images, but the ultrawide infrared compositions just fit the textures, visual lines, and the enormity of the cathedral.  For the real wedding I hope the sunlight spilling through the stained glass is enough for natural light shots.  Vermeer…Caravaggio…haven’t forgotten about any of the old masters, its just that the new masters are credit cards and utility bills…
