WHEREAS, the State of Georgia extended a warm welcome to these Laotian refugees, with vibrant communities forming in cities such as Atlanta, Cornelia, Chickamauga, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Riverdale, and Macon, where they have worked diligently to integrate into American society while preserving their cultural identity; and…
WHEREAS, Laotian Americans in Georgia have made invaluable contributions to the state’s cultural and economic landscape, establishing businesses, cultural organizations, and community centers that promote their heritage and foster a sense of belonging; and…
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Airavata flag be recognized as a symbol of the Laotian American Community, celebrating their journey, resilience, and contributions to the diverse fabric of this state and the nation.
