Fujifilm X100 Review – Portraits & Random Life from 10+ Years
PART II
Hello, here’s Part II of my Fujifilm X100 Retrospective. Part I was all about Wedding Photography and can be read Here. This one is all about random portraits, BTS shots from some of our photo hangout dates, and just ordinary scenes in life.
Not much to add in the technical stuff about this camera that I didn’t say in the last post, except:
Are the colors in the Fujifilm system truly film like? Nope. Do you still have to edit the photos to get the desired look? Yep. But again, as a fun little camera it was pretty fun to bring along over the years.
It’s so wild to think, a vintage looking camera that has now produced actual vintage photos in age. Many of these memories are from 2011 right after I got the X100, a crazy 14 years ago. I struggled to learn how to use it due the sticky aperture blades (which needed fixing from Fujifilm) and the general slow quirkiness of the camera. But here are 200+ photos from the Fujifilm X100. There are more, and boy did I have to pull up a chair and go thru some truly awful undisciplined junky photos taken with this thing. 🙂 Even back then I kinda purposely didn’t take it too seriously, since in Slot 1 and Slot 2 always had either a FF Canon with a 50mm or a Nikon with some other work level lens. I guess even then I tried to treat it with the same mentality of a point and shoot digicam from the early 2000’s.
So here’s life thru the lens of the Fuji X100. There’s so many more photos to left to unearth, perhaps I’ll re visit this again. (I would say about 95% of these photos are re edits of JPGS as I don’t have the raw files)
