There’s this really great Thai restaurant off the exit in Winslow Arizona! The very same Winslow in the Eagles’ song! After all these years of having that song pop up in my random playlist, it never occurred to me that they were talking about a real town. A town that has built its tourism industry around that one song it seems! But back to the excellent Thai place, Chang. They had dishes that I would say were better than the ones back home in Atlanta, and had a section in the front for merch. You can tell from the fried egg in the pad krapow that the owner/chef knows her stuff!
It’s right off the exit on the north side, and hopefully that area grows with the hotel and gas station. Pretty cool to have unique food all the way in the desert. Unlike back home, you drive for HOURS out west before there’s any big exit with stuff and stores. We’re definitely blessed in “boring” old Georgia.
Also, the local Winslow High School’s mascot are…THE BULLDOGS!! Haha, go dawgs!! 🙂
