It was another fun day out on Lake Lanier at the Dragon Boat Festival. Great job by the organizers, participants and community. Sadly the torrential rain canceled the finals, the first in this event’s history. Here are a TON of photos. I might have to end up posting the rest of the images on FB simply because my site already gets bogged down way too much. The whole day I shot my big lens, 2 Canons and had a few remote cameras set up (which of course one decided not to work). I definitely had my own workout in the heat! It was a great showing by the thousands who came out to compete and participate in the fun in this Atlanta tradition.
I got to the lake about 6am.

Big thanks to the Khmer food vendor for giving me a beef satay! It was great, and the only thing I had all day!
