The big hurricane that rolled through the southeast was wild! Seems like those things happen quite often nowadays. Awful to see all the flooding in western North Carolina, Asheville and the surrounding areas. Hoping the recovery is swift.
In our area the wind and rain subsided by like 3pm on Friday. Thanks to the city of Lawrenceville for still holding the Latina festival. I live here and I’d never even explored those alleys before! Pretty cool to see the students doing a live mural painting, a lowrider cruise in, and musicians. Thanks to the bands and performers, and everyone for posing. Downtown Lawrenceville will have even more cool pockets and corners to hang out in the future, so it’s good that every city in Gwinnett is focusing on their strengths. I kept thinking the lowriders in the soon to be remodeled Honest Alley looked film ready. I’m still waiting on a close great picture taking spot similar to a county botanical garden though. 😉
