I would have to say I’m really enjoying using this “consumer” camera.\u00a0 The Nikon colors really show up well on the LCD with the brightness at max and +2\/3 EV.\u00a0 Like all Nikons the default metering almost always makes photos too dark (in order to retain all that dynamic range in post), but on the flip side it renders way too hot with a speedlight for event photos of people though I’ve noticed.\u00a0 For not serious walks around the park it’s fine.\u00a0 Just know that this gen camera’s Live View AF (with the regular AF-S 18-55mm) is horribly slow and clunky.\u00a0 With the AF-P version of the 18-55, it’s very fast focusing in Live View.\u00a0 You still have to wait for the slow shutter mechanism though.\u00a0 It also works great as one of my remote cameras<\/a> since the raw files have ample room for cropping.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
