New Orleans, Easter Weekend.\u00a0 When I do get to travel, I take photos, I eat, and here I am writing about it.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been to New Orleans, probably over 20 times now.\u00a0 We arrived in time for the sunset and the glow of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

Crescent Pie and Sausage Company<\/span><\/p>\n

Eggplant with crawfish sitting on a bed of corn: \u2605\u2605\u2605\u2605\u2606<\/span><\/p>\n

Cajun Jumbalaya with beans and pork (and tons of Tobasco): \u2605\u2605\u2605\u2606\u2606<\/span><\/p>\n

A sausage sampler plate with everything from Chicken to Boudin<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

…then off to Sucre, a gelato and sorbet place on Magazine Street.\u00a0 New since last time I was there was this gaudy\/awesome Chinese Restaurant with one of the most gangsta signs ever!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

If I was an assassin for hire this would be my hangout joint. \ud83d\ude0e<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

All sorts of delicious sorbet.\u00a0 You’d think at $8 for a small cup it would be a rip off, but…<\/span><\/p>\n

I normally take way too much gear for every trip down there.\u00a0 This time I only took 3, no, actually 5 cameras, if you consider the Harinezumi and iPhone a camera.\u00a0 The black and white mode on the E-PL1 is not bad.<\/span><\/p>\n

The E-PL1 in high saturation mode can mimic the Harinezumi<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw this scene with the semi transparent tarp and it reminded me that the E-PL1 also has a neat multiple exposure mode.

You can take the ferry by car or foot from the Westbank to New Orleans for $1.\u00a0 It’s a short, but cinematic ride.\u00a0 Heart shaped bokeh would have been better with the 85mm f\/1.4, but alas, it was sitting back at the house… The 50mm f\/1.4 is still to me, the “best” lens for every situation.

However, this might have been one of the best meals of the trip, food from the deli at Rouse’s grocery store.\u00a0 I think all this was about $6.<\/span><\/p>\n
