Notes: Even with the pollen I thought it would be fun to walk up Yonah Mountain. \u00a0When we got to the top, it started hailing, which was actually refreshing since the forest was a bit warm in the sun and all the bugs were out in full force. \u00a0While enjoying the breeze and grapes on top of the cliff, I wondered aloud that it would really be neat if some people were climbing the rock face. \u00a0Just like that off in the distance some cool guys showed up that reaffirmed my fear of heights and sense of mortality. \u00a0To get a sense of the scale of the mountain, here’s an older image showing from where you start walking up–the highlighted square is roughly where the pictures were taken:<\/p>\n

Doing any outside photography makes me realize that I have way too much heavy gear. \u00a0Just the light J1 and X100 and some snacks for this one. \u00a0Not to sound like an outdoor recreation commercial, but it just seems like the people you meet away from the hustle and bustle of the city remind me of simpler, purer times. \u00a0No texts, no inane FB chatter, etc. \u00a0Of course though, I had to check my email once while walking down the mountain, and this is a web blog after all, so it’s not all bad heehee… \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
