Notes:  No Fashion portion this time, so I focused on the lighting for the photos in front of the step and repeat.  Didn’t use the ring flash much, but I figured I could use it more for the modeling light to help with focusing.  This was the first time I used the Mola beauty dish/speedlight combo in an event setting.  Once again, the light quality is just bright and even when shot with Nikon CLS.

The soft shadows and head to toe light coverage from the Mola is very nice.  Of course it helps when you have pretty models. 🙂

…Which actually makes for interesting photos that we aren’t normally used to.  Most everything we take is eye level from a medium height person.  When you see the world from their view, especially when armed with an 85mm 1.4 combo, well it is surprising in a good way.

Lam Anh + Lan Anh

The cool thing about instant film is that it is immediately shareable in about 1 minute, no need to upload or tag someone if you have a marker handy, no editing required, well, because you can’t, and I think everyone realizes the fact there’s only one of these unique things in the universe.  This Fujifilm Instax shot was probably my best picture of the evening. Go figure.
